Gregório Gonçalves, "Ti Goi", was born in S. Vicente on April 10, 1920, where he died on June 17, 1991, at the age of 71.

Better known as "Ti Goi", he was a lyricist and composer who portrayed in a particularly spicy way the habits and customs of Mindelenses, of which he was always a great and perceptive observer.

A comedian, he wrote and staged short plays, mainly in the Lombo.

His love for children, who also loved him, and his contribution to the enrichment of Mindelense Carnival are traits that profile him as the most esteemed artist in the neighborhoods of Mindelo.

He is the author of famous coladeiras and mornas, including "Rabonhe", "Picapada", "Matá Morto" and "Vaquinha Mansa".
