Daniel Euricles Rodrigues Spínola

Daniel Euricles Rodrigues Spínola was born in Ribeira da Barca, municipality and parish of Santa Catarina of the island of Santiago de Cabo Verde.

He studied Portuguese Language and Literature in the Training Course for Secondary School Teachers of the city of Praia, Cape Verde, and graduated in Portuguese Language and Culture from the Faculdade de Letras da Universidade de Lisboa.

He was a professor of Portuguese language and literature at the schools of Praia, Achada de Santo António, Várzea and Santa Catarina, and also taught the Peace Corps volunteers at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the University of Havana and in Guinea-Bissau.

He was an advisor to the Minister of Culture for the areas of communication and culture, and is a PhD student in Literary Studies - Comparative Literature, by the Faculdade de Letras de Lisboa.

As an artist, he has already exhibited in Cape Verde - French Cultural Centre, 1998; Palácio da Cultura, 2002 and 2006; Câmara Municipal da Praia, 2006; in Austria: Afro-Asiatishen Instituts Graz, 2003; Vienna: Institut fur Romanistik - Universitat Wien, 2001; Associação Amizade Áustria Brasil, 2004; Centro Cultural Francês, Palácio da Cultura e Convento de S. Francisco, with Xposições - Sonatas de Sol, 2009 and Xposições, at Cachito, 2010.
