Corredeira

Nome científico: cursorius cursor
Família: Glareolidae
Género: Cursorius
Espécie: C. cursor

When crossing the rocky or sandy terrain, we often notice a small bird, the corredeira (cursorius cursor), with colours that match the landscape, camouflaging it. It can run fast, and it does so more often than it flies. In the air it shows an eye-catching white stripe on the underside of its extended wings.
