Armando Tito, who was born in Mindelo in 1944, on July 18. He has played with most Cape Verdean artists, guitar, violin and cavaquinho.

Armando Tito started playing at the age of 10. He recorded for the first time with Cesária Évora. Accompanied Travadinha at Hot Clube de Portugal in 1982 and Bana.He was part of the famous group "Voz de Cabo Verde" and the group "Sosabe".

He has lived in Portugal since the 80's and participated as an accompanist in hundreds of recordings. He developed a pure sound on the strings of his guitar, playing sublime solos that can be heard on Cesária Évora's records.

He also accompanied other well-known Cape Verdean musicians, such as Ildo Lobo, Titina, Lura, Nancy Vieira, Leonel Almeida and Celina Pereira, as well as other musicians such as Paulino Vieira, Zé Afonso, Vaiss, Dalú, Manuel Paris and Toy Vieira.
